Jesus dulcis memoria
Qr:8 (aaaa bbbb cccc...)
note: music & text (of 1st strope) ed. Mancuso, 564-6, where he mistakenly indicates that, beginning with the 2nd stanza of this Christmas hymn (‘Nil canitur suavius’) the many subsequent stanzas of this hymn transmitted by Razzi on fols. 97v-98r constitute an ‘alternate text’. Razzi’s attribution of the hymn to San Bernardo is not generally accepted. The usual title is ‘Dulcis Jesu memoria’. The Latin text is transmitted in older laudarios, like BNF, Fondo Naz. II.IX.140, fol. 52v.
