However, in the absence of a specific mention of this link in the sources, and given the difference in poetic forms, a more likely candidate as d’Albizo’s model is another carnival song, ‘Giovanetti con fervore/non vogliate più indugiare’ (see this title as a cc.); ed. and discussed in PrizerP.
