Cesena’s frottola ‘A la fè, per la mia fè’ (PetF/v & PetF/1511), or ‘A la fè si a la fè bona’ (PetF/iii, P676, Q18, P27; see CesariLF where the music of PetF/iii is ed. on 131, the text on 46), though the 6-line stanzas & octosyllabic verse of the latter make this the unlikely cc. model. See ‘Oimè, lasso, oimè’ as cc. and modo proprio with settings in Ferr84 & BL.Eg3051 (w/text ‘Occhi miei di lacrimare’]. RA2435, pp. 105-6 transmits an ‘Alla fe, che la tua fe’/sempre mai falsa sarà’ with the form Ba4/7:7/8 (xyyx ababbyy), which is nearly identical to the form of the ‘Oimè lasso’ and related poems.
