Lauda:

Lo fraticello se leva per tempo
7:11/5 (ABbbcbD)

Lauda Poet:

Serafino
Razzi

Notes:

note: Mancuso, 601-7 edits text and music of Razzi’s lauda. The cantus part of the lauda is based on the melody of ‘La pastorella si leva per tempo’ found in the mid-sixteenth century collection of dance tunes, M108. The single strophe of the cc. text transmitted here is identical in form and rhyme scheme to the lauda. The cc. text is found in Rome, Biblioteca Angelica Ms. 2435, no. 143, where it is organized in 5-line strophes.
