note: this lauda = cc. for two others in LCS161: ‘Si ch’i’ la vo seguire quel alma’, ‘Si ch’i’ la vo seguire et nessun’ altra’, and several others besides. The cantus of Razzi’s version is borrowed, intact, from the 2nd superius of Francesco Layolle’s 5-part ‘Si ch’io la vo seguire nessun’altra offesa’; ed. D’AcconeMFR, iii, no. 19. Text & music ed. Mancuso, no. 75. Cara’s musically independent 4-part setting of the same text (‘Si che la vo’seguire/e niuna alta offesa’) is in PetF/xi, and text and music are ed. in LuisiFr, no. 1; this text is formally identical to the others in the cc. sources, suggesting that these ‘Si ch’i’ la vo seguire’ texts are interrelated.

note: Rz1563 prints ‘I’ mi trovo’ w/music a4 (ed. Mancuso, no. 47), and indicates ‘Jubili’ (and 4 other laude) to be sung to that music. See ‘Io mi trovo’ as cc. ‘I’ mi truovo’ attributed to Bettini in M365, probably correct given that this lauda appears only in later, Dominican sources and in conjunction with laude by other Savonarolan poets.
