Levate su pastori-b
CapQ (ABBc CDDe...)

Lauda Poet:

Clemente Pandolfini?

Notes:

note: RostirollaB, 717. Music à3 ed. RostirollaTL, 43 (with facs.; Anim1577). See ‘Levate su pastori’ as cc.. There is a similar cantus in Rz1563 w/text ‘Leviam’i nostri cori’ (ed. Mancuso, no. 31), which also appears to be related to the music in Rz1563 for ‘Io sento al cor conforto’ (the latter is paired with ‘Levate su pastori’ as cc. models for Razzi’s lauda ‘Oggi lieto e giocondo). 1589/2 transmits a3 setting nearly identical to that of Anim1577, but with Razzi’s text ‘Dolce felice e lieta notte’ (c. 12; and cc indication that text of ‘Levate su pastori’ may be sung to this music). ‘Levate su pastori’ and similar melody transmitted in 1689/2, ed. LuisiLG, ii, 164.
